For the first season of The Local Table there are two exceptions to this rule.
1. Oil. This may be sourced from the wider Kapiti region. The LT organisers have managed to get a bulk order of local olive oil that entrants can enquire about should they wish. This oil comes from a grove adjacent to the village.
2. Milk and Cream. These may also be brought in from the wider Kapiti region. However, if you are an adult these will have to be “earned”! They must be processed into cheese, yoghurt, kefir, butter etc. They may not be used straight. The junior sections may use Milk or Cream in its raw, unprocessed state.
